Surfrider Foundation Australia asks GPM to Reconsider

Representatives of Surfrider Foundation Australia presented a joint letter at the headquarters of GPM Constructions who have signed a contract to begin the destruction of the Bastion Point. The letter, signed by Save Bastion Point Campaign, Victorian National Parks Association and Surfrider Foundation Australia, requested that GPM Constructions reconsider its commitment to construct the ‘Option 3b’ breakwater and beach road.  The letter drew attention to the importance of Bastion Point to the community, the evidence against the proposed development and the strength of the opposition.  Brendan Donohoe, a Director of Surfrider Foundation Australia, delivered the letter attached here.
